Greenex history began in 1986 with Mr. Alberto Renok Zamprongno, who laid the foundation for a business that would bring diversity for the family’s business, in the field of forestry, in the municipality of Tucuruí-PA.
Over the years, other members of the Zamprogno family have joined the company, providing a dizzying growth of the business to become one of Pará’s major wood exporter companies.
Currently the company is located at Caiçaua Route, km 01, Santa Bárbara, Pará, Brazil, ZIP Code 68798-000, Belém’s metropolitan region (about 47.8 km from the capital Belém). Geographic coordinates: 01° 13′ 26″ and 48° 17′ 38″ O. Greenex occupies a land area of 278,151 km², and has a team of 171 employees. The company currently supplies products to more than 10 countries such as: Brazil, Netherlands, United States, Belgium, France, Spain, England, Germany, China, Portugal, Denmark, Greece, and more.
Standing out for the investment in physical structure, machines, equipment, team qualification, quality program, standardized processes and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) since 2016.
Currently, Greenex has been investing in technology, new commercial relationships, opening new markets and a new commercial headquarters in the city of Belém (PA).
On January 28, 2020, through its management and directors Greenex implemented a quality program called GREENEX QUALITY AND PRODUCTIVITY PROGRAM (PQPG). Through this program, the company assumed before its employees, customers and partners the commitment to lead an efficient and effective quality control of its products. PQPG is a Greenex commitment to put customer’s satisfaction first.
The entire team of Greenex has adequate qualifications and defined responsibilities to work on the quality of our products from the beginning of their manufacture, processing, processing, packaging, storage, shipping and logistics. Providing our customers with the desired satisfaction.
Greenex is specialized in the production of sawn wood and benefited from different forest essences, with focus on production mainly for foreign market and serving also the domestic market.
The products are processed from the acquisition of raw material from external suppliers duly qualified and certified by the FSC, accompanied by official documents that prove that the forest products come from sustainable forest management projects approved by the federal government agency SEMAS, IBAMA.
Traceability of products is ensured from the origin, in the forest – with a plaque attached to each tree, to the destination at the Greenex headquarters for industrialization.
Traceability control is carried out through FSC chain of custody procedures, identifications through labels, packing slips, as well as Forest Guides and Invoices required in each link of the system. Greenex also uses specific software, which attends each stage of production control.
For all certified wood external suppliers, Greenex adopts the same controlling procedures for chain of custody of FSC certified wood and ensures the segregation of certified raw material throughout the production line up to the final consumer.
In addition to being qualified with standardized processes and having the FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council® Certification of its products, since 2016 Greenex has a Production Operation License, Harbor Operation License (it has its own harbor), Water Grant, Business license, Sanitary License, Inhabited for the practice of acts in the Integrated Foreign Trade System – SISCOMEX, has the register of explorers and consumers of forest products in the State of Pará – CEPROF-PA, quality program (PQPG), Social Responsibility, CIPA, Fire Brigade.
